We are looking for a multilingual UNDERWATER VIDEOGRAPHER/PHOTOGRAPHER PADI OWSI for a 5 star property in the Maldives.  The company has dive centers several major dive destinations today and has more then 25 years experience in the industry.  We constantly rethink our concept to stay in line with our clients changing needs and use innovative approaches to meet them.   Please have a look at the website of the resort www.halaveli.com for more information.

The job involves mostly filming snorkeling and diving excursions, editing the footage with music, then following up with guest to sell them a copy of the DVD.  In order to maximize sales we have access to the main bar and must attend the once weekly Management cocktails where most guest go to.  We offer wedding services to mostly inbound Asian and European guests, where we film and photo shoot the ceremony.  We offer top side photo shoot on the beach, on private boat excursions, sand bank, deserted islands, etc.  Involves sometimes highly irregular long hours and sometimes you are the latest at the video lab finishing projects for guests leaving the following day.  In addition to a good basic package a very strong incentive is given based on sales.

Prerequisites:

* Must be clean cut, reliable & professional.  Good grooming and personal hygiene a must.
* Must be an experienced video operator.
* Must be an experienced underwater and top side photographer
* Must be able to edit footage using either Premiere, Imovie, Final Cut or other similar program, will train on a MAC.
* Must have great interpersonal skills, sales experience, be honest, self motivated and a team player.
* Must be in current teaching status with PADI
* Must be insured with DAN Europe or PADI with the 3,000,000 third party liability coverage.
* Must have own medical insurance.
* Must speak fluent English  and another language, preferably Russian but any of the following will be a plus: Italian, Danish, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Korean or Japanese.

Preferred:

* Applicants speaking more then 3 languages
* Experience editing with a MAC and using Imovie or Final Cut/Final Cut Express
* Experience using IDVD for creating project then burning onto a DVD
* Wedding photographer experience a plus
* Having the drive to follow on special projects such as creating coffee side table books, video titles for resale.
* Experience doing collateral and promotional design wth software such as Photoshop
* 25-35 years old
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general administrative skills a plus
* Have watersports experience and/or topcat sailing, windsurfing instructor certificate from a recognized agency such as VDWS or RYA.  Waterskiing, wakeboarding and powers sports knowledge also a plus.
* Have previous experience in 5 star resorts/hotels.

We are currently looking for a friendly, out-going photographer/Videographer to join the team.  The ideal applicant has experience shooting manual exposures with underwater SLR systems and also has experience shooting underwater video.  To even be considered for the position you must be certified as an OWSI or above, have a clean police record and a good bill of health signed by a doctor as we dive 3-4 dives per day 5-6 days per week.  Along with photography duties this is a professional sales position and applicants must be ready to work on a team, drama free with a neat appearance, well-groomed with no excessive tattoos.

The position is full-time and offers competitive salary with commission.  Applicant must have their own personal dive gear but all the camera equipment is supplied by Fin Photo.  Stuart Cove’s and Fin Photo are well known through the Production industry and have appeared in many documentaries, feature films and commercials over the years.

UW videographer needed in Palau, to work as 2nd videographer during busy season, Sep. 2010-April 2011, and possibly during future busy seasons. Main responsibility will be to film divers and marine life on a daily basis (each day a different group of divers), and produce a souvenir DVD of their dives.

Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in this line of work, as well as references and a demo reel to prove it. No dreamers need to apply. HD video gear preferred, but miniDV ok.

PADI DM certification and PADI liability insurance required. Videographer must have own uw video & scuba gear, own computer for editing & burning DVD (Mac OS preferred).  Good social skills are a must, because of our daily interactions with divers and people of all kinds. Pay is commission based.
