We are currently seeking an experienced PADI qualified Dive Instructor to join, specializing in personalized experienced in small groups.

This role will involve:
• Leading and instructing guests and staff on dives around local fringing reef
• Leading and instructing guests and staff on dives around outer Great Barrier Reef
• Ensuring guests experiences are maintained to a 5 star standard
• Developing & implementing activities to improve revenue & guest satisfaction
• Maintaining dive equipment ensuring safety and 5 star standards are maintained
• Manning Hayman Dive reception and retail outlet as necessary
• Representing the Dive Team at orientations, presentations and other initiatives

Key Criteria:
• Available to start in Sept 2010
• Minimum 2 years experience as a PADI qualified Dive Instructor
• Current AS 2299 professional dive medical
• Current CPR, First Aid, O2 Providers Certificate *
• QLD Recreational Boat License *
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills

*You can get these qualifications within the first month of employment

Highly desirable skills:
• Valid Coxswains ticket
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of the Whitsunday area
• Experience in a 5 star resort with international guests
• Certified Aqualung Equipment Technician

We are looking for a suitabley qualified science coordinator for our Marine expedition operation on Mahe in the Seychelles.

Qualifications needed:
PADI divemaster or above,

Degree in marine biology or equivalent;

Boat driving licence.

Driving licence.

Research and report writing skills.

We teach 24 volunteers at a time how to identify either 40 coral species or 100 fish species. Using scuba we survey 36 reefs every four months. Your job will be to teach them how to do this along with the eight other staff working on our base. Plus assist with report writing and help with the many duties that running a large base with 35 people on it entails including cooking, cleaning, commeres duties, maintenance to name a few.

The hours are long and the work is often hard but very rewarding. You will live on base in shared accommodation.

The pay is not good at $100 a week.

We are looking for hard working experienced PADI instructors to work with a very busy dive operation in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Our primary focus is providing Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) excursions and leading certified diver tours for cruise ship passengers and the local resorts. Applicants should be flexible, versatile, and able to work well with a variety of personalities and situations. You must be a U.S. citizen.
