Marine Biologist /MSDT for Summer Teen Liveaboard Dive Adventure

We are searching for an experienced, motivated, energetic and youthful MSDT with MARINE BIOLOGY teaching and/or research experience for teen summer adventure and marine biology programs in the Caribbean (British Virgin Islands, St Lucia, St Vincent, Martinique). In addition to teaching scuba diving, instructors live with students and facilitate positive dynamics, growth, and leadership skills. Programs are conducted aboard 46-foot liveaboard sailing catamarans. We are a PADI 5-star operation
Dates: June 9 – August 20th includes staff training on three 21-day expeditions.
Qualifications: Biology/Marine Biology Degree, MSDT, able to teach Wreck, Night, and Photography specialties. Fluent English. Professional demeanor. Must enjoy working teens. Experience in sailing and marine biology a plus. Must be physically fit, healthy, non-smoker/drinker.
Compensation: Based on experience, but excellent. Airfare provided from the continental US. Meals, activities, and housing are provided during training and on program.

Diver Job: FEMALE MSDT/Marine Biologist Liveaboard Sailing Opportunity

We are seeking for a multitalented professional female MSDT for a two month position in the Windward Islands of the Caribbean (St Lucia, Martinique, St Vincent, the Grenadines).

Must be a motivated, enthusiastic energetic and experienced PADI Instructor, have excellent references, a clear background, have great communication and teaching abilities (with complete English fluency), be physically fit, friendly, and healthy.

Responsibilities include teaching advanced and specialty courses, marine biology topics, and assisting with sailing instruction.  We live aboard the vessel with our students in fairly tight conditions full time, so applicants must feel comfortable living with limited privacy. .

Diver Job: German speaking Marine Biologist – Maldives

We are looking for a German speaking Marine Biologist cum Divemaster for one of our dive and water sports operations based in a luxury 5 star resort in the Maldives. Commencement date is immediate.

Reporting to the Base Leader, the successful applicant will have field experience as both a Marine Biologist and  Divemaster. He/she will be a hard worker, highly motivated and flexible with impeccable customer service skills, plenty of initiative and the ability to successfully work in a team.

Main duties include providing enjoyable, informative and safe instruction and guidance during diving, snorkeling and other activities with a Marine Biology focus. Organising and conducting occasional presentations will also be part of the job but much of the time will be spent in the water teaching and guiding resort guests. Since we cover all the water based activities (fishing, water sports, excursions etc) a flexible approach to work is essential as guest relations, helping with excursions and boat handling, retail sales, equipment maintenance and general dive base housekeeping will also be part of the daily routine.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• BSc in Marine Biology or equivalent degree (alternatively a proof of sound knowledge and expertise is required, with min 3 years of practical experience in marine biology programs development & delivery)

• PADI Divemaster licence or higher

• Fluency in German and English (spoken and written)

• Senior First Aid certificate

• Diving Insurance (Civil Liability & Personal cover)

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Computer/IT skills – a definite advantage.

Previous experience of working in a resort environment would be an advantage but not essential,

We are looking for a qualified Marine biologist (min. BSc. or equivalent) who is also a dive instructor or dive master to work in a 5 star resort in the Maldives. You should speak German and English with any other languages being a definite advantage. Your job will mainly be to guide normal dives, guide snorkel/dive excursions with a Marine biology focus, give presentations and develop and manage our Marine Biology programs. This is not a research or educational post, but an active in-water position. We are looking for a hard worker with good social skills who can work as part of our successful and fun team and provide a friendly 5 star service to our guests. If you can teach or enjoy water sports, this would be an added bonus. In addition to fantastic diving and snorkeling sites, we provide comfortable, air-conditioned shared accommodation, food, an excellent salary and commission.
