We are looking for a German/English instructor couple to join our friendly dive team on the “big” island of Kuramathi in the Maldives. We like guest-friendly, motivated, sociable teamplayers who are proactive sales people and can work professionally. Ideally, one of you should be a native German speaker who can also teach in English and the other person should be able to teach in German, English and one other language from French, Spanish, Italian or Russian. Any other languages and other skills would be very useful. We offer comfortable AC accommodation, great diving (world-famous Hammerhead shark point 5 minutes by boat), a beautiful island, a friendly team and a good salary with commission. Diver Job: Dive Master- Maldives

Position: Dive Master
Period: July 2010 – March 2011 (9 months)
Gender: male or female
Age: preferably 20 – 25 years old

Qualifications required:
- fluent English and Italian languages, additional languages are desirable
- good relationship skills ( being able to dive one 1 to 3 times a day, depending on the general directions of the director, and entertaining customers if the type of cruise requires it)
- some simple bartending knowledge (helping the barman if necessary)
- mature, self motivated, having passion for the job, ability to work
under stress, availability and flexibility in operating with the staff,
helping the Director (and the barman when necessary), excellent presence and communication skills.

We offer:
- working on one of the greatest yachts in Maldives
- stimulant and interesting working environment with qualified staff
and Italian director, supervised constantly by the Company
- international customers – around 50% Italians and 50% foreigners
(Russians, English, Spanish, French, Singaporeans, .)

We are looking for a German/English speaking dive instructor for a luxury resort with a different concept. Due to accommodation only female are welcome to apply. This Scuba Diving job is for an OWSI/DM Marine Biologist for one of our dive and water sports operations based in a luxury resort in the Maldives. Commencement date is mid/end June 2009.

Reporting to the Operation Manager, the successful applicant will have a proven track record as an instructor/guide as well as a Marine Biology expert. He or she will be a hard worker, highly motivated and flexible with impeccable customer service skills, plenty of initiative and the ability to successfully work in a team.

Main duties include providing enjoyable, informative and safe guidance/instruction during diving, snorkeling and other activities with a Marine Biology focus. Organizing and conducting occasional presentations will also be part of the job but much of the time will be spent in the water teaching and guiding resort guests. A flexible approach to work is essential as guest relations, helping with excursions and boat handling, retail sales, equipment maintenance and general dive base housekeeping will also be part of the daily routine.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• BSc in Marine Biology or at least 3 years of relevant and documented field experience
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) and preferably another European language (French, German, Italian, Spanish etc)
• Minimum PADI Divemaster licence (preferably OWSI)

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
