Scuba Diving: Hayman Island – Great Barrier Reef
We are currently seeking an experienced PADI qualified Dive Instructor to join our boutique Dive Centre, specializing in small groups.
This role will involve:
• Leading and instructing guests and staff on dives around local fringing reef
• Leading and instructing guests and staff on dives around outer Great Barrier Reef
• Ensuring guests experiences are maintained to a 5 star standard
• Developing & implementing activities to improve revenue & guest satisfaction
• Maintaining dive equipment ensuring safety and 5 star standards are maintained
• Manning Hayman Dive reception and retail outlet as necessary
• Representing the Dive Team at orientations, presentations and other initiatives
Key Criteria:
• Available to start in May 2010
• Minimum 2 years experience as a PADI qualified Dive Instructor
• Current AS 2299 professional dive medical
• Current CPR, First Aid, O2 Providers Certificate *
• QLD Recreational Boat Licence *
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills
* We can assist with obtaining these qualifications on island
Highly desirable skills:
• Valid Coxswains ticket
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of the Whitsunday area
• Experience in a 5 star resort with international guests
• Certified Aqualung Equipment Technician

About you…
We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing and self-motivated Dive Master or Dive Instructor for our Dive Operations based in Portsea on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. Skills in Office Administration & Dive Equipment Sales Essential.
Your main role will be based in the Dive Centre coordinating bookings and sales. Our Store sells dive & kayak equipment, clothing, accommodation and Dive, Kayak & Snorkel Tours plus dive courses.
Your secondary role will be working with tour groups. You will run guided dives, snorkel tours and dive courses for individuals and groups. Groups are a major component of our business including Cruise Ship clients and School groups, so experience in these areas is an advantage. We pride ourselves on personalized service and going that extra mile.
You will need to be fluent in English, have a full drivers license, and be in Australia now. You will also organize your own work permit.

Diving Job: Fre/Ger/En speaking DM for Santorini, Greece
We are a busy medium-sized dive center on the beautiful holiday island of Santorini, Greece and are seeking a Divemaster for the high season June to September 2010.
The work is varied: you will be guiding certified divers and snorkel tours, running discover scuba programs and helping with courses working sometimes from the beach but mostly from our speedboats (6m RIB, 7m RIB and 9m RIB), carrying/filling tanks, washing gear, manning the shop and everything else that we all take part in. We can be very busy during this period so expect there to be a lot of hard work, long days and physical activity. However, we have a lot of fun and the town is perfect for having a social life and enjoying the Greek scene. We do not have so many fish in Greece but our scenery is amazing: volcanic lava caves, walls to 300m and an active volcano inside one of the world’s most beautiful calderas. We do have a lot of smaller life on the rocks, such as many octopus and nudibranch, and almost always 30m visibility.
As we already have English, Greek and Scandinavian staff, it is important that you can speak German and French as well as English. Driving licence is also essential (you should be comfortable driving a landrover on small roads), and powerboat licence or experience preferred.
We provide basic shared accommodation and 500 euros per month salary after tax. Days off are as and when we can give them, usually around once every two weeks during the busiest period and we will also train you as an EFRI Instructor as part of the deal, you just pay for books and application fee.
