Immediate opportunity for Male OWSI instructors in Carribean

Posted on by Scuba Diving jobs in Scuba diving jobs in the Caribbean Leave a comment

This Scuba Diving job is an Immediate Position for Male OWSI.

We’re busy! Come join us…we’re looking for an experienced OWSI who loves diving and teaching and sharing the u/w world with others. We are looking to hire a qualified male (sorry ladies right now this is what we need for balance) PADI OWSI with “hands on” experience that recognizes it takes other components to please experienced divers and keep an operation running.
We are considered as the premier dive operator in the northeastern Caribbean. We’ve been in business for 24 years with a solid reputation for professionalism, outstanding service and dedication to the environment. The island is known for its environmental protection both topside and below—great diving.
Please reply to our posting only if:
1) you are available to work soon and willing to commit to a one-year contract—we hope to have the candidate chosen in the next few days and on island within 7-10 days to be ready for our busy weeks/months ahead.
2) you have already spent some time on our website so that you have an understanding of the island, our business and diving philosophy
3) you have resort experience: minimum 50 certs and minimum 500 dives
4) you are dedicated to being a team player
5) you are willing to give 100% daily; willing to go the extra mile when necessary; there are no ‘locals’ to do tank lifting and our harbor situation means loading and off-loading of plenty of tanks–as a team but not something that can be avoided.
We will give preference to those who are:
1) non-smokers; absolutely no smoking allowed during the work day
2) Must possess good English but other languages are helpful: Dutch, French, German
3) Mechanically inclined and/or willing to learn
4) boating background—line tying, moorings, etc.
4) Other pluses? strong marine environment background? carpentry skills? fiberglass experience? surprise us!
More about the positions:
We have a dynamic, solid team in place. We are re-replacing an instructor who worked for us for nearly 3 years with the last candidate uncomfortable with moving tanks. We expect anyone who responds to this ad to be a qualified and experienced dive instructor capable of leading dives and teaching courses from DSD level through divemaster. What you don’t know, can be taught if you are willing to learn and have a genuine interest.
We offer you:
• private house or apartment at a great rental price, furnished and ready to move in
• continuing education opportunities
• fair compensation and commission structures on continuing education courses allowing you to save money as well as have a good time
- health insurance
- other perqs to be discussed
If interested, please follow these specific instructions and email your information
Please be sure your message includes:
-Name
-where passport is issued
-where you are presently located
-Date of Birth
-# of dives in your career
-# of certs in your career-Date you are available
-photo—see more instructions below
If you are attaching your CV, please LABEL your CV with your name as part of the file name so that we do not receive 75 files all with names “CV”. An attached photo should also have your name in the file name–no more than 200 kb, please. Look forward to hearing from you…
