Diving Jobs Opportunities for OWSI’s throughout 2010

We have positions throughout 2010 for Dive Officers on our Madagascar, Tanzania and Fiji Programmes.

Frontier has an incredible opportunity for a Dive Officer at one of our field research sites to support our tropical environmental marine research. Dive Officer’s will supervise the training of researchers up to Advanced Open Water with the ability to instruct EFR and Dive master. They will also be responsible for maintenance of all dive associated equipment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn environmental research techniques; with your team you will evaluate coral cover and record fish and marine mammals through your dive surveys. Reef assessments will identify damaging practices and provide recommendations for sustainable management.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
•To administer, maintain and control all diving and related equipment
•To plan, organise, and execute all diving activities, taking into account all physical, logistical, safety and financial considerations;
•To supervise, train and motivate all project staff, volunteers and host-country participants to do the work contained in the diving schedule;
