We are looking for OWSI or higher to fit into our team. We are the biggest shop in the state of Hawaii, and only on Maui. We have 8 shops on the island and teach out of 2 the rest all book clients for us. This position is a teaching position the break down of jobs is as follows
40% of work is DSD’s
30% teaching classes or check out referrals
10% tune-ups or refreshers
20% leading certified divers.
We also work off our dive boats when needed as guides and teach off our new 65’ sailing cat.
When we are busy we work a lot we have schedule for 2 am dives 2 afternoon dives and a possible night dive. This does not happen a lot but you will see 4 dives a day quite often, it is hard work but a lot fun and very rewarding. This is a beach Instructor so it is hard work.The island is beautiful and lots to do here.
Pay scale is on a job bases and a per head money, with that being said most instructors make a yearly pay is in the mid 25K with out tips.
The rent is high here and cost of living is high also. You should look on craigslist maui to get an idea of rent and availability.

OAHU – Scuba Instructor Needed
We are currently looking for a insured PADI Instructor (SSI or NAUI is okay as well). As much work as you can handle. Prefer you already be on island, but it isn’t a deal breaker if you aren’t. At this time we are only hiring US citizens or those legally able to work in the US. Start ASAP.
Must be in good standing, insured, and have reliable transportation (van/suv preferred but not required).
Excellent people skills also required. Clean driving record (NO DUI!)
If your dive safety record isn’t perfect don’t bother applying. Knowledge of Oahu dive sites is helpful bu tnot required. Must be friendly, professional, safe and RELIABLE.
