Become a Dive Master / divemaster trainee while working with kids 100 miles from New York City in Country setting. We need 4 Divemaster Trainees or divemasters for this summer. All certifications are included in this program and Candidates pay nothing for the training.  Lodging is included for the summer. You will do over 100 dives in a 2 plus month period. Use of dive Gear is included. Clean driver license a plus though not required. We will help you get a job at the end of your training. All you need is the interest and love of diving.

Kanawa Island Diving at the Kanawa Beach Bungalow Resort on the edge of Komodo Marine Park is looking for an Instructor to join our small team. Suitable applicants will have experience working as an Instructor on all levels of PADI courses from DSD to Divemaster, a friendly and outgoing personality, willing to help with all aspects of running our busy little divecentre including guiding, filling tanks, paperwork/office work etc etc. Good english essential and other languages an advantage, most of our guests are backpackers/travellers from Europe. You will be working alongside Ed the owner and PADI Instructor, Willy our local DM and our local boat and island staff. Kanawa is a small and secluded island with basic accomodation in a fabulous location with a great housereef for courses and fun dives as well as 2 boats offering daily trips to the National Park for diving in one of the most beautiful and divers marine environments on the planet. If you are looking for a party place then this job is not for you but if you are looking for great diving and a beautiful island to call home then please get in touch. Salary negotiable with basic accomodation provided and a food/drinks deal with the islands restaurant included. We are looking for an immediate start if possible but a KITAS work visa is needed for foreign employees in Indonesia and this is complicated and expensive so we will insist upon a minimum 6 month contract with 1 year preferred to cover these costs.

 No experience necessary. Must love diving and be able and  willing to work with kids age 8 to 17 years old. Job involves mainly working with kids. Located in the Catskill Mountains of New York, USA.  Lots of woods and lakes. If you are a divemaster or instructor, part of your remuneration could be multi-agency ( Tech or Sport) instructor upgrade.  Contract is from June 1 to august 20th every summer (2 ½ Months). We have a number of openings. Expect to do about 100 or more dives in local lakes. We provide Sport and technical diving certifications for students, divemaster ratings and Instructor ratings. Lodging can be inclusive. Gear use included. Boat experience a plus. Driver license a plus. We are an expanding PADI Dive Resort. We operate 3 accommodation facilities and a retail store in addition to the dive side of operations. We run a range of activities including sea kayaking, snorkel and dive programs plus a range of marine education for schools.

About you…

We are looking for a locally based enthusiastic, outgoing and self-motivated Dive Instructor. Applicants must be in Australia by the 1st of August to apply for this casual position. Our Dive Operations based in Portsea on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

Your main role will be training divers and running marine education programs both in the classroom as well as in the water. You will run guided dives and snorkel tours for individuals and groups. Groups are a major component of our business including cruise ship clients and school groups, so experience in these areas is an advantage. We pride ourselves on personalized service and going that extra mile.

You will need to be fluent in English, have a full drivers license, and be available to start by the 9th of August 2011. You will also organize your own work permit.

We’re looking for a PADI MSDT instructor to work full-time at our resort.

You MUST have the following qualifications and skills:

- PADI MSDT
- Speak English as your first language (or at least speak English flawlessly)
- High service standards
- Team player
- Well groomed, no visible tattoos or piercings.
- Work experience in a remote location
- High level of maturity
- Experience running a dive operation alone
- Bookkeeping (highly desirable if you have a working knowledge of accounting as income and expenses will need to be accounted for)
- TRUSTWORTHY
- NOT LAZY

Start date required is 2nd August or just after this date so must be available immediately to enable proper handover with our current instructor.

Wages are minimal ($300 FJD per week) though all meals and full accommodation is provided as well as return boat transfers and work Visas in Fiji ($650) for a 6 month period (can be extended).

You will basically have the chance to run your own show as you see fit with a simple weekly income and expense report being required to be sent.

One of the best reasons to work for us is the quality of the diving, some of the best diving in the world is available on the Great Astrolabe Reef and the dive resort is situated right in the heart of the reefs.

The job implies working in a small team, so multitasks, but mainly leading DSD and doing exploration dives, some courses as well. 2 dives per day maximum.

Part Time Instructor required

We are looking for part time OWSIs or above to teach full range of PADI and EFR courses. Teaching experience and certs essential as well as cold water experience with dry suit specialty. Work is mainly weekend focused during the busy training periods March to November, and candidates must we willing to work as part of large team in and out of the water. Shop experience/equipment knowledge preferred but must be able to sell con-ed courses.

Must be self motivated, enthusiastic, willing to work hard with good understanding of HSE regulations. Gas blender preferred but not essential as training may be given to right candidate. Boat handling experience and driving license preferred but not essential. Must be in full teaching status with current HSE medical, and no Q/A issues.

This position is paid per day/s worked on a monthly basis.

We at Dive North are looking for a new instructor and divemaster to work in a small team. This job involves everything from guiding/teaching divers, boat handling, fixing dive equipment, filling scuba tanks to helping out in our dive shop. We are ideally looking for one female and one male instructor/divemaster who are willing to commit to us for at least one season with a 3 month probation period. You need to be passionate about diving and the marine environment and want to share this with all our divers, someone who doesn’t mind to work hard and sometimes longer hours. This is very much a hands on position. We will of course train you in boat handling, dive equipment repairs, teach you the dive sites and so on.

Accommodation package is available to the right applicants and training and personal development will be a key focus for us as we look to maintain key staff on a long standing basis and continue to grow our excellent reputation.
