Candidates must have previous management experience (not necessarily in diving, but preferred) and be able to communicate at all levels in French and English. At least 2 years experience in the diving industry is essential.

The position also requires the person to work as an instructor on a daily basis – deputising for the manager during days off and periods of vacation.

We are looking for a shop manager or assistant shop manager; an administrative tiger!
From April to October 2011 we need someone who loves the diving scene but prefers to work on land.
A multi-tasker who:
- Has good computer knowledge. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is a MUST. Some experience with Photoshop is a plus. Experience with EVE is a BIG plus!
- Can manage day plans.
- Is representative to welcome new customers.
- Likes to sell PADI programs and snorkel equipment.
- Languages: English + German or Dutch … or all three
You work in a diving center along the main boulevard of the village.
When you’re not disturbed you’re working on the day program of the following days planning in the right instructors for the right courses/ activities. You answer emails of divers planning their next holiday to our diving school. You will also keep the open bills of our customers up to date by making sure their latest activities have been added to their bill.
If you are disturbed this will be by new customers asking info on our activities or by existing customers requesting to be planned in for more diving.
When the instructors and divemasters come back from diving you’ll need to remind them of their administration, request info to maintain the bills and if necessary chance the existing day schedules.
You won’t dive but never will be bored! You’ll stay dry but still be part of the diving team. You’ll work in what is probably the most picturesque village of Crete.

Proven record of experience in a office / sales position, possibly in a Dive Centre

Willing to work in a rotating shift with your colleagues

Even though this is a non – diving position, you should be possibly a diver and have understanding about the complexity of the work in a modern, customer oriented Dive Centre operating in the upper market.

Sales Office staff essential qualifications are:

Minimum Divemaster in teaching status as you will conduct free try dives in the pools of our sole partner hotels
Absolutely fluent in German and English, other languages welcome
Outstanding administrative and communication skills
Good computer skills
Proven record of experience in a office / sales position, possibly in a Dive Center
Flexible, used to work under pressure, service oriented
Be mature in mind
Have a clean & tidy outfit, no visible piercing, no excessive tattoos

Willing to use your own transportation to go to work ( moped )

We offer a seasonal engagement until the end of April / Mid of May 2011 in our premium Dive Center. Work is usually six days a week, though it may happen in peak season that the “day off” is shifted to a calmer period. Monthly salary paid on time. We are a busy resort year round and are often rated as one of the best operations in the Caribbean. You will be required to take on various roles such as teaching courses, guiding dives, pumping tanks etc….. everything needed to keep the operation running smoothly.

You should be physically fit, English should be your primary language, be between the ages 25-35, hold a valid driving license and be a non-smoker.

We are looking for newly qualified Divemasters for a Dive Centre Attendant position. This is not a full time DM position, so your job would be balanced between guiding/diving, equipment care, tank filling, handing out the snorkeling equipment and shop/office duties. This job position is for those that are looking to gain experience in the industry before they go for the IDC (there will be an IDC in Maldives in April and it is fairly cheap compared to other places)

Requirements:
DM certificate,
Minimum 2 european languages (german, italian, french, russian), however applicants with 3 languages will have the advantage.
Less than 28 years.
Advantage will be given to female applicants (please don`t apply if you cannot lift a tank or equipment box)
Since this is an entry position in the dive centre, salary and conditions are basic.
250$ a month
Service charge (between 300$ and 450$)

15 days of annual leave
