Amazing opportunity for a Programme Coordinator in Seychelles

The Programme Coordinator will have full responsibility for all aspects of the GVI programme in the Seychelles in co-ordination with the Country Director. The successful candidate will direct all areas of the conservation and research project, which include overseeing health and safety, diving, logistics, science, local partner co-ordination, all staff and volunteers, report writing, funding and budgets. The position will start in June. You must have at least some of these skills or qualifications.
• Fluent English speaker
• Degree in relevant biological and/or community development subject
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a remote project
• Volunteer management experience
• Scientific field research experience including a range of survey techniques
• Experience of high quality report writing, public speaking and overseeing budgets
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite including Access and PowerPoint
• Min PADI Divemaster qualification
• Boat engine mechanical skills
• Current First Aid & CPR qualification
• Clean drivers license
• Teaching scientific survey techniques
• Tropical rainforest experience
• PADI Instructor level
• Teacher qualification in the fields of biological sciences, conservation, environmental education or community development
• TEFL/TESOL qualification
• Experience running environmental education programmes
• Emergency First Aid (EFR) Instructor qualification
• Proficiency in SPSS and GIS ArcView packages
• Proficiency in MS Publisher, designing websites, databases, or on-line tools
• Professional accounting skills
